Basics of Left-Handed Knitting

Here's my simple rules for working with patterns written for Right-Handed knitters:

CHARTS:
1: Read all charts left to right on first row, and then right to left on the next and so on and you won’t need to make any changes

2. On circular knitting charts (like socks) read each row from left to right and you won’t need to make changes

WORKING WITHOUT CHARTS:
1. On cable patterns, if you’re supposed to CB you CF, and if it says CF you CB

2. If you’re supposed to do something, WYIF, then do it With Yarn in Back and vice versa

3. If you don’t have a chart and are reading a pattern, switch SSK to the lefty K2tog and switch K2tog for SSK

4. If you don’t have a chart and are reading a pattern, switch P2tog for P2tog thru back loops, and vice versa

5. When it says to work the right front, know that you are working the left front, and vice versa–You’ll catch this as soon as the shape takes um, shape
